Start Level: Elementary level 1 to level 2

Course hour: 30 hrs + 30 hrs

Course Description:
Students in this level can already have a grasp of major sentence structures and have learned basic Chinese grammar systematically. Courses are combined of extensive oral training in mandarin, emphasis on practical vocabulary and idiom for functional literacy.

Course Objectives:
a): More proficient in daily conversations.
b): Have a grasp of around 1000 vocabularies.
c): Be able to read and write simple compositions.
d): Have a good understanding of the structure of the Chinese language.

Course Activities:
Each class is a combination of the following:
1. A brief review or a quiz at the beginning of each class.
2. Explanation of vocabulary, grammar structure and the text by the teacher.
3. Reading practice, conducting dialogues based on fundamental sentence patterns and vocabulary.
4. Improvisation combined with students' practical use.
